According to the latest documents from the U.S. Department of Justice, MoonPay's CEO Ivan Soto-Wright and CFO Mouna Ammari Siala may have been victims of a scam, transferring over $250,000.00 $USDT to a Nigerian scammer. The scammer impersonated Steve Witkoff, co-chair of Trump's inaugural committee, using a cleverly designed deceptive email address (replacing the capital letter "I" with a lowercase letter "l") to carry out the scam. According to the Department of Justice documents, the wallet involved has been identified as being registered under the name of Ehiremen Aigbokhan in Lagos, Nigeria, and Tether has frozen approximately $40,000.00 USDT.
