It's been a long history of ups and downs. this will be no exception. 2 things are fuelling this run.

arbitrum narrative with the impending $100 million bug bounty is driving tons of attention on the entire ecosystem. keep in mind optimism has a bounty too, 2nd largest in crypto history. however what makes arbitrum's narrative so unique is that the dev team is genuinely incentivized to find bugs and exploits, and fix them. as many people know, the op team are founders of the so called 'dao of daos' meme team dao and or mmd. the condescendingly named mdao token serves a very real purpose, nothing to do with memes, but unlocking the 115 million op token bounty. $200 million in total bounty funds are currently available to devs that find bugs on the 4 major chains of the mdao, arbitrum, optimism, polygon and base. this monstrous incentive for devs is a massive driver, and gtc is the in-house native token of the arbitrum ecosystem. the $200 million dollar bounty is likely just the tip of the iceberg.

the second reason is due the recent media coverage around gitcoin. a lot of people are now aware of that gitcoin, whether they like it or not, they have become a player. where this goes from here is anyone's guess. like i said in a writeup somewhere, it could quite literally be signing a deal with orai (known as openai's bff) valhalla network, or partnering with opera and many other crypto partnerships are rumoured. this is the crypto industry, no one knows what tomorrow will bring. what i do know is that 2 institutions are not going to let this opportunity slip through their fingers.

this isn't btc, eth, or even doge. the narrative is very niche to arbitrum, optimism and perhaps, just perhaps, a hidden gem to the l2 narrative.
