bitcoin solves the double spending problem. ripple does not. bankers cannot accept and/or acknowledge this so they either run bitcoin nodes in secret or denounce it all together because if they simply accepted that new tech is better than their old tech their whole house of cards comes tumbling down and there goes absolutely everything they've ever loved: money, power, influence. nothing will remain from before.  the real reset will begin when countries roll out central bank digital currencies (cbdcs) but until then it'll be just banking business as usual bluffing like hell things are going to work out despite them knowing full well how absurdly unsustainable the current system truly is.
